...when the World Trade Center Towers fell, a portion of the Pentagon destroyed, and United Flight 93 lay in a field in Pennsylvania.
We all remember where we were on that day.
For the families of those who lost their lives that day, may we continue to honor those you lost as if they were a part of our lives too.
To the heroes of that day, from the first responders -- many of whom continue to save lives today -- to ordinary everyday folks who rose to the occasion to help the suffering and the lost, and to the brave men and women of Flight 93, we are forever thankful for the lives you saved that day.
May we live our lives with the same honor and respect that you lived yours.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13 NIV)
