MGWalk SF Bay Area 2016

For the third year in a row, I went back to photography the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America's MGWalk.  Unlike the past two years, this year was rainy and stormy, but still fun.

Starry Night 2016

This particular event has special meaning for me because it was the first charity event I had ever photographed.  That was in 2014 when I had my Canon 70D.  I was honored to be invited back to photograph the event again.  Starry Night is organized by the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.  The event is meant to raise funds and awareness for the approximately 28,000 children in the United States living with a brain tumor.  The event also honors those who are survivors and remembers those who lost their lives in the fight.  Clicking on the picture below will take you to the highlights of the event.  Yellow lanterns represent those still living with a brain tumor as well as those who have overcome it.  Blue lanterns represent those who lost their lives.  White lanterns represent the other children in other parts of the U.S. who are still fighting the battle today.

Life steps foundation 5k fun run 2016

I had the pleasure of not only photographing, but helping race direct, their first annual fun run.

Pacifica Runners Halloween 5K & Kid's Dash 2015

I had run too many races in the fall of 2015, so I decided instead to volunteer at this event.  They're a nice group with a neat little history behind their founding.  https://pacificarunners.wildapricot.org/page-18064

Zero Prostate Run Walk 2015

I just came across this group by accident during a morning run and asked if they needed a volunteer photographer.

Brazen Racing's Dirty Dozen 2015

Brazen Racing is my favorite running organization.  They have the best races ever.  It was at their races that I discovered and honed my photography skills.  For this race, I walked backwards along the course in the morning while the 12hr/6hr endurance runners ran the 3.1 mile loop.  Then I ran the 5K.
